Sherman, Texas – February, 3, 2026 – Grayson County 4-H, dedicated to empowering youth in Grayson County’s vast rural landscape, is thrilled to announce a significant donation from Siemens Digital Industries Software. This generous contribution will be instrumental in overcoming geographic challenges and expanding cutting-edge STEM education, including robotics and aerospace programs, to more young people across the county.
Siemens Digital Industries Software, a global leader in industrial automation and digitalization, is recognized for its commitment to fostering innovation and developing the next generation of talent. “We are incredibly grateful to Siemens for their leadership in technology and their dedication to developing young minds in STEM studies,” says Dr. Tamra McGaughy, Grayson County 4-H Youth Development Agent. “This partnership will allow us to address critical needs, providing equitable access to high-quality STEM experiences for our members, regardless of where they live in our large county.”
Grayson County 4-H plans to strategically utilize these funds to:
- Significantly expand its Robotics Program: By acquiring additional equipment and more advanced robotics platforms, the 4-H clubs will overcome limitations in space and volunteer availability, allowing more youth to participate and offering age-appropriate challenges for older members.
- Launch a new Rocketry and Aerospace Program: This highly requested initiative will introduce students to the fundamentals of flight and advanced scientific concepts, sparking interest in engineering and space exploration.
- Build out concrete STEM Project Activities: The donation will enable the development of structured, hands-on projects in areas like agri-science, animal studies, aquatic science, and rocketry, transforming general STEM interest into tangible learning experiences.
