Do Well, Be Well with Diabetes is a five week class series for people with type 2 Diabetes who want to learn to manage their diabetes. This class will help you understand types of foods that impact your blood glucose. What is a carbohydrate and why does it matter? What about exercise? What about medications? What about possible complications? We will discuss all these issues and you will participate in hands on activities to help you understand the topics better.
Starting March 15, 2025. This program will be Saturday mornings from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Sherman Medical Center cafeteria (formerly Wilson N Jones Regional Medical Center). The address for SMC is on Highland, but the cafeteria is across from the parking garage on N. Bryant Avenue. You won’t have to enter the hospital, the door directly into the cafeteria will be open for this program. The final class will be April 12. Cost is $30 for the five class series. If you have a family member who helps you manage your diabetes, they are welcome to accompany you at no charge.
