Open to a first year 4-H member. Two junior, intermediate, and senior Rookie Award will be given each year, without regard to gender. This award may be received only once in their 4-H career.

Divisions Eligible: Junior, Intermediate, and Senior

Special Eligibility Criteria: The 4-H member must be within their FIRST official year of membership (not including Clover Kid membership).

The Rising Star Award will be given each year as an honorable mention for applicants not selected for the Honor Roll, All Star, or Letterman Award, without regard to gender.

Up to two awards per grade division. This award may be received only once in their 4-H career.

The applicant must be at least 14 years old and have completed 2 years in 4-H (including current year).

This may be received only once in their career and can only be received through one source (school, community group, etc.).
